As time goes by, the Normandy Beaches and Cemeteries have become fixed in the common consciousness. The photographs in this site are a present day recording of those sites and the stories behind them. Aside from cropping,  they are almost entirely un-retouched so as to be faithful to the memory of the fallen, without attempting to add further drama. 

Mike Fuller is a retired dentist, living in East Yorkshire, England. He has an interest in local and military history and records his thoughts on the Normandy D Day Beaches, battlefields and cemeteries via the medium of photography. We have a great many more images of the D Day beaches and the areas of the ensuing battles to take the Normandy Beaches - Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno and Sword.

Many of these stories seem to have been poorly recorded photographically in past years.
